I served a LDS mission to the state of Washington from 1972-1974. I was married to Lori Whitney August 15, 1975 in the Ogden Temple. My wife graduated from Bonneville High School. I graduated from Weber State University (Business degree) in 1978 then graduated with MBA from Colorado State University. I worked for U S WEST from 1979-1996. I owned my own Allstate Agency from 1996-2018. I started as a scratch agency (no customers) and built it into a large agency. I sold my agency and retired July 1, 2018. My wife and I served a senior mission for the LDS church from February 2019-February 2020. We served as temple workers in the Palmyra, NY temple. We have served as temple ordinance workers in the Mesa, AZ and Gilbert, AZ temples for over 13 years. I'm currently serving as a temple ordinance worker in the Gilbert, AZ temple. We plan to serve additional senior LDS missions in the future. I have served in numerous bishoprics and as a Bishop. We have 5 children (2 boys and 3 girls) and 13 grandchildren. We love our family and enjoy being actively involved in their lives. Two of our children live in AZ, one in Mount Vernon, Virginia, one in Buffalo, NY and one in Salt Lake City, Utah. We love to travel domestically and internationally. My hobbies are hiking, biking, golfing, basketball, softball, pickelball, exercising at fitness center.

Here are some of the things that have happened in my life since our last reunion in 1991.

Career

Worked at US West for 17 years in Marketing, then made a major career change in 1996.  I became self-employed.  I have owned  my own Allstate Insurance Agency for 4-1/2 years.  My Agency is one of the largest Agencies in the region now.  I have 4 licensed employees working for me.  This has been a real blessing in our lives after working in Corporate America for 17 years.

Personal

We have 5 lovely children that have brought so much happiness into our lives.  Brent Jr. is 24 years old, Summer is 21, Jami is 19, Cari is 16 and Matthew is 12.

Brent served an LDS mission in England Manchester from 1996-1998.  My wife and I picked him up, then toured England and Scotland for 2-1/2 weeks.  We spent much of our time visiting the country areas.  We stayed in Bed & Breakfasts which gave us the opportunity to visit with the local people.  We went through the Preston England temple soon after it was dedicated.

Brent Jr. graduated from BYU in April 2001.  His major was Statistics.  He is employed with a consulting firm in Phoenix, AZ called Watson & Wyatt.  He is an Actuary.  He had a Scholastic Scholarship for all 4 years at BYU.

Summer had a Scholastic Scholarship at BYU for her first 2 years.  She has been accepted and will begin the Dental Hygiene program at Northern Arizona University August 2001.

Jami is a sophomore at BYU Idaho.  She has a Scholastic Scholarship.  Her major is Elementary Education.

Cari is a Junior in High School.  Matthew is a 7th Grader in Junior High School.

We have taken some neat family vacations which have helped create great memories.  Since our last class reunion we have gone on vacations to:
