   OGDEN - MY SWEETIE IS GONE. Robert Warner McKay (Bob), died tragically at his home, Monday, January 26, 2004. He was born August 10, 1953 to Glenn Arwell and Lois Warner McKay in Ogden, Utah. Bob attended and graduated from Ogden High School where he had a strong singing voice and sang with the A-Capella Choir. Bob loved to read and learn and had perfect attendance grades 1-12. He was active in scouting and was an Eagle Scout. From 1972-1974 he served in the LDS Paris France Mission. Following his mission he attended Weber State College, where he met Caren Delaine Jones who would become his eternal companion, he just didn't know it yet. He had worked as manager of Jarman Shoes. And also worked at Boyle Furniture Co. with his Uncle Pete and Aunt Margie Boyle in Ogden. In 1986 he moved to Hawaii to attend Brigham Young University-Hawaii. While attending school he managed the Campus Cafeteria. After graduating with a degree in Accounting and Computer Science he remained in Hawaii and worked as manager of Payless Drug Store. In 1994 he returned to Utah to be near his parents whom he loved dearly. Bob was devoted to his family and worked closely with his brother Don as a manager of McKay Travel/Golden Getaways. He loved to travel and was always looking for a new place to explore. He and Caren reunited in 1994 and were married February 3, 2001 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Her job had taken her to Washington, DC and they were looking forward to when they could live in the same house. They laughed, loved, talked and prayed over the phone lines. He was an active member of the Highland LDS Ward in Ogden where he was a High Priest and Home Teacher. He has held many positions in the church and knew and loved the scriptures. Bob was a friend to all and was well-loved and respected. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Caren; his parents of Ogden; a brother Don (Sherry) McKay of South Ogden; 19 nieces and nephews. He was a second father to his brother's children who called him their Uncle Daddy. Trisha (Jason) Mears, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; James (Katie) McKay, Stockton, MO; Brandon (Leah) McKay, Clearfield; Shawn Robert (Charee) McKay, South Ogden; Lori (Kevin) Brenchley, Roy; Elder Jeremy D. S. McKay, serving in the LDS California Long Beach Mission; Cory, Kimberly, Casey and Tyler McKay all of South Ogden. Also 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland LDS Ward Chapel, 1314 27th Street, Ogden. Friends may call Sunday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden and one hour prior to services Monday at the Highland Ward. Entombment will be in Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
